Sarah Allerding is back on my blog today! This time with her book now published. She also graciously agreed to answer a few questions about herself.
About the Book
When Thomas gets caught in a summer storm, he is sucked into the world of raindrops through a tornado. He learns he will not be allowed to return until he can defeat the lightning, which has been hurling raindrops from the clouds. Many adventures await him in this strange land. Is everything just as the raindrops say it will be? Is it the lightning they need to defend themselves against, or is there a much greater foe behind the disturbing disappearances?About the Author

Author Interview
Thank
you for the interview Faith!
1. I see from your bio, that you
were homeschooled. What was your favorite part of your school?
I
would have to say my favorite part was when we would go on field trips to
different historical sites around the country. I also enjoyed visiting national
parks.
2. Do you have any siblings? If
so, how many?
Yes!
I have one wonderful brother! The two of us love to watch movies together and we
both really enjoy reading books.
3. How did you come up with the
idea/inspiration for your book?
I
would say that the idea for the story was ultimately inspired by watching
Narnia. The story started when I was reading a book on breaking the rules when
writing fiction. I decided to try one of their writing suggestions. I ended up
with this beginning of this book.
4. Do you have any favorite
hobbies?
Besides
reading, I like playing the guitar and drawing realistic pictures of people.
5. Does God play a part in your
writing? How much?
Yes.
While not everything I write is particularly Christian, all my writing is
influenced by God and his word. I want everything I write to be God-pleasing.
And for some this
or that questions:
1. Water or Soda?
Water.
2. Cats or Dogs?
Dogs.
My family has a wonderful shepherd mix named Cookie! :)
3. Fantasy or Contemporary Fiction
(both clean)?
Definitely
Fantasy! I really like reading about a make-believe world where things can
happen that would not happen in the real world.
4. Classical or Christian Music?
I
really enjoy Christian music! One of my favorite songs is, “By Grace I’m
Saved.”
5. Typing or Handwriting?
Typing.
I do not like writing by hand very much. It is hard to go back and make changes
that way. By typing my story, I can go back and completely change the plot
direction without tearing out a million pages.
