What if...?

What if Belle's father was the beast? What if something happened in the past to make Belle run away? What if Belle becomes a Christian and decides to return, but her father refuses to see her? My good friend, Amanda Tero, explores these what ifs in her new book, Befriending the Beast.

About the Book

Belle has returned unannounced to the castle to restore her relationship with the king, her father. Her hopes are dashed with the devastating message: "The king refuses to see you." Convinced that God has led her home, she is unwilling to return to Lord and Lady Kiralyn.

Time is running out for the decision that will change her life. When tragedy strikes, will she and her father be pulled further apart or knit together? Could she stay at the castle even if she will never see her father again?

About the Author

Amanda Tero is a homeschool graduate who desires to provide God-honoring, family-
friendly reading material. She has enjoyed writing since before ten years old, but it has only been since 2013 that she began seriously pursuing writing again – starting with some short stories that she wrote for her sisters as a gift. Her mom encouraged her to try selling the stories she published, and since then, she has begun actively writing short stories, novellas, and novels. If something she has written draws an individual into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, it is worth it!

Review

Introduction:

Have you ever read a book you thought you would like and been blown away by how wonderful it really was? That's how I felt when I read this book. I loved it! It was amazing, full of surprises, and beautiful Scripture truths.

Characters: 1/1

The characters were rich, real, and well written. I felt like I could commiserate with all of them.

Dialogue: 1/1

The dialogue never pulled me out of the story, seemed period appropriate, and worked well to carry the story along.

Plot/storyline: 1/1

You'd have to read it. But, the plot was perfect. I felt like there was a whole story here and that nothing was missing.

Overall writing quality: 1/1

The writing was wonderful. I can tell Amanda is growing as an author and putting what she has learned to good use.

Un-put-down-ability:1/1

Let's just say that I read it all in one sitting. It helped that I was on a road trip and had the time, but it really didn't take long to read and I didn't want to put it down.

Conclusion: 5/5

Go get this book. It's great, well worth the money (less than a cup of coffee from Starbucks), and you might just learn something, too.
