Of all the characters in my books, I think Ruth (Brookings) Carson is the one who is the most like me. She isn't a carbon copy of me, but she is closer than any other. Which is probably why I really like this particular novel which releases today. This novel continues Ruth's story from a different perspective; that of an orphan she and Micah take in.
